For five years, I worked in the fast-paced world of finance, constantly chasing deadlines and focused on building a successful career. Like many people, I rarely stopped to think about my health and wellbeing — until life forced me to.
In 2023, an accident on my way to work and the health challenges that followed became a turning point. For the first time, I realised how easily we take our health for granted — until we no longer have it.
I realised life is too short to keep postponing the things that truly matter. I left my career behind and set off on a solo travel journey through Asia. Over the following months, I explored different cultures, immersed myself in wellness practices, completed a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in Bali, and deepened my understanding of mindfulness, movement, meditation, Ayurveda, and holistic wellbeing.
What started as a personal journey soon became something bigger. I wanted to bring these practices back home and make them accessible to others in a way that feels practical, welcoming, and grounded. Because while technology continues to connect us online, nothing can replace the power of real human connection, shared experiences, and community.
AIKO was born from a desire to make wellbeing more accessible, practical, and human.
A place where people can slow down, reconnect with themselves, and connect with others through movement, mindfulness, and shared experiences.
AIKO means “child of love” in Japanese — a reminder that wellbeing starts with caring for ourselves and those around us.
